SCADA Engineer
Overview
TerraWatt, an engineering and commissioning company specializing in T&D, renewable energy, and data center infrastructure, is looking for a Junior or Senior SCADA Engineer to join its team. As a SCADA engineer, you will be involved in substation SCADA system design, engineering and commissioning, working closely with other team members and contributing to the success of projects. You will have the opportunity both to learn and to lead along other experienced professionals on the projects and contribute to our mission of delivering world-class electrical solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and Engineering
Developing and engineering SCADA and RTU systems for substation automation and control.
Implementation and integration of IEC61850 standards in SCADA and RTU systems
Review and update electrical schematics and diagrams as per design specifications.
Commissioning and Testing
Functional testing of SCADA and RTU devices and systems.
Perform pre-commissioning checks and system verifications.
Support on-site commissioning activities, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Project Management
Track and report project progress, issues, and risks.
Provide technical support and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Client and Stakeholder Interaction
Engage with clients to understand their specific needs and provide feedback.
Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure the successful implementation of projects.
Maintain transparent communication with all stakeholders throughout project phases.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, with a focus on power systems or related field of study.
Experience and interest in the design, engineering, and commissioning of substation SCADA systems.
Good knowledge of SCADA and RTU device programming and configuration software, ideally with exposure to DIGSI 4/5, ABB/Hitachi PCM 600, and similar tools.
